As with external filters, internal filters are used to provide mechanical and biological filtration and is therefore an essential addition to our range of aquarium supplies. Internal filters can also be used to double up as a fish tank pump to enhance water circulation.

Internal filters are provide in a number of different forms including undergravel, air driven box filter and internal power filters whilst certain manufacturers adopt their own methods. Juwel fish tanks for example are fitted with an internally manufactured corner filter.
