Arcadia T5 Plant Pro Tubes, supplies by 123 Aquatics is designed to provide superior Plant Growth while also enhancing the colours of fish and plants.
These tubes are great for plant species with higher light requirements and ideal for those situations where a little extra light is required. At first glance, they are a slimmer version of the familiar fluorescent tubes, but they can present a number of advantages due to the increase in power, intensity, and water penetration that they produce.
On average, the power of a T5 lamp is 80% higher than a regular (T8) tube of equivalent length - this can be increased still further by using the Arcadia T5 reflectors.
As a result, it is possible to keep more demanding species of invertebrates and plants in a deeper aquarium.
NB. T5 lamps must be powered by electronically ballasted units, such as the appropriate models of Arcadia Electonic Controller I-Bar or Overtank Luminaire.
