White spot is not visible to the naked eye in its swimming state or on the host of fish for the first 2 days. It grows rapidly & appears as small pinhead sized white spots on the body & fins. After 5-7 days the spots break up into smaller parasites & rapidly reinfect the fish

If left untreated, fish quickly become sluggish, their fins will disintergrate & the fish may die
