If your fish are suffering from a whitish appearance this is most likely due to an infection of protozoan parasites. These parasites cause the fish to produce excess mucus which causes this appearance. NT Labs Anti Velvet and Slime will treat infections of protozoa such as trichodina and costia. If infected you will often notice your flicking as if irritated by an itch, breathing rapidly or clamping their fins against the body.
