The Juwel Aquarium coarse blue filter sponges, supplied by 123 Aquatics are designed to home the most important bio - cultures on its significant surface area making it an exceptional form of biological filtration media and an important addition to the 123 Aquatics range of aquatic filter media to use during your aquarium maintenance schedule of your Juwel Aquariums. This sponge can be used in all of the Juwel Aquariums including the Juwel Rekfrod, Juwel Trigon and Juwel Rio.

This juwel course media sponge effectively cleans the fish tank water of floating debris by sifting particles into the sponge and breaks down toxic bacteria in the aquatic environment.

When performing maintenance on your aquarium filter should clean or replace one sponge at a time every 3 - 6 months to maintain the right biological balance in your aquarium. It is worth noting that a number of filters can be used in the aquarium in addition to the Juwel Internal Filter. Please see our range of Aquarium External Filters.
