These ceramic rings are suitable for the Tetratec EX600, EX700 and EX1200 external filters.
Because ceramic is a hard material this biological filter media will not need changing on a regular basis, simply rinse the media in water from the aquarium and any dirt or sludge will be removed without damaging the delicate filter bacteria.
